Uscis Interview
|
The USCIS INTERVIEW is another important step in obtaining the green card. USCIS INTERVIEW is the abbreviation and stands for ‘United States Citizenship and Immigration Services'. The ‘United States Citizenship and Immigration Services' comes under the Department of Homeland Security. The USCIS INTERVIEW is conducted to confirm the genuineness of the applicant of the green card. It is a serious affair and must not be taken lightly as it decides whether the green card should be issued to the applicant or not. Several people have the misconception that they can get the green card simply by marrying a US citizen. This is not true. Once the person is married the husband and wife have to pass through a stage of rigorous inspection. This inspection is done to make sure that there are no fraud marriages. It has been seen that in most of the cases, people marry simply to get the citizenship of United States. To avoid this, the USCIS INTERVIEW is conducted. Several questions are put up before the husband and wife and they need to answer those questions and on the basis of their answers, they are provided the green card or denied the same. In the USCIS INTERVIEW both the husband and wife are questioned separately. The same set of questions is put before the husband and wife and they have to answer such questions separately and independent of each other. This makes clear the situation of the marriage and proves that the marriage is not a fake marriage but is genuine. This USCIS INTERVIEW should not be taken lightly at all by the applicants as it is an important stage which needs to be cleared before getting the green card. The USCIS INTERVIEW becomes tough as the husband and wife are questioned separately. Questions about the first date, marks on the body of the spouse, marriage date, last night dinner, the conveyance used for arriving for the interview, etc are put up before the husband and the wife individually and they need to answer these questions in the absence of the other. Any divergence from the other spouse's answers creates a doubt in the mind of the interviewer about the genuineness of the marriage.
At times during the USCIS INTERVIEW people get nervous and forget dates, etc. In such a situation, it is better to tell the truth rather than guessing as guesses cause failure at the USCIS INTERVIEW since most of the guess answers do not match. |
